گردے میں ورم یاسوزش کی کئی وجوہات ہیں۔ اگر کسی شخص کو گردے کے مقام پر چوٹ لگ جائے توایسی چوٹ کا عموماً جسم پر کوئی نشان نہیں ہوتا مگر اس چوٹ کے باعث بھی گردے میں ورم ہو جاتا ہے۔ جس کا پتہ پیشاب میں خون آنے سے لگتا ہے۔ اگر گردے میں کوئی نوکیلی پتھری پھنس جائے تو گردے کے اندرونی حصہ سے ٹکرا ٹکرا کر بھی ورم پیدا کر دیتی ہے۔ جسم میں خون کی زیادتی اور جوڑوں کے درد اور میٹھی اشیاء کا بکثرت استعمال بھی گردے میں سوزش کا باعث بنتا ہے۔
اگر گردے میں سوزش کی بیماری کا وقت پر علاج نہ کروایا جائے تو مرض پرانا ہونے کی صورت میں پیشاب کے ساتھ پیپ کا اخرا ج ہونے لگتا ہے۔ اور اگر یہ مرض انتہاء تک پہنچ جائے تو پیشاب میں خون بھی آتا ہے اور دونوں گردوں کا سائز بھی بڑھ جاتا ہے۔ مریض کو گرد ہ کے مقام پر درد رہتا ہے۔ پیشاب بار بار آتا ہے اور اس میں شدید ترین بدبو بھی آتی ہے۔بعض اوقات اس مرض میں پیشاب بند بھی ہوجاتا ہے۔ اگر یہی سوزش دونوں گردوں کو متاثر کردے تو گردے پانی کے اخراج کو کنٹرول نہیں کرپاتے اور نتیجتاً پیٹ میں پانی پڑ جاتا ہے۔یوں گردوں کی بیماری پورے جسم کی کارگردگی کو متاثر کرکے انسان کوکئی طرح کی مزید بیماریوں کا شکار کردیتی ہے۔
